ioStack fits nicely into a gateway and has many useful inputs and outputs. For example, it can be used with the EKM temperature sensor probe or the level gauge on a propane tank.
The CT's appear to be great, get good readings, but I still need to redo the address of the EKM meter so I can realize adaptable load balancing for my EV charger.
This is my 5th meter for monitoring electrical usage along with 6 gas meters and 3 water meters. Very pleased with the equipment and EKM as a whole. Great company, don’t know what I would do without them!
The unit is extremely well built. Fit & finish is flawless. However, in order to mount it, would have to do a little work to get cables in & then finally mount it. Very awkward. So, I built a U channel of wood & mounted it against that & cabled everything up in place.

You can never trust a renter. If you include power with the rent, they will magically stop using the gas and use space heaters and electric blankets with the windows open. Worth the expensive of installing meters.
I had an electrician install this meter after I bought a couple of inline fuses to make it UL compliant. Everything seems to work just fine and I get the info I need to figure out how to bill the users on our community well.
Seems to be working fine. I am most concerned that the meter reading is as accurate as possible.

I had aluminum wires with pretty thick rubber and mesh insulation on my recent install and the hole was barely big enough to shove onto the wire. I think it would be better to make the inner hole a big bigger even if the whole unit got a little larger (I doubt that in a typical install the outside space constraint is more common than the wire fit constraint.

EKM made the instructional youtube video incredibly clear for any beginner with low-voltage installation. The omnimeter is so simple, Cat5 cable extension for water and gas shares the same ground omnimeter input and the positive goes into each of the omnimeter pulse inputs (eg: pulse 1 for water, pules 2 for gas). CT leads go straight into CT1 input. Power via 120v outlet using a modified extension cord. Easy peasy. Would like to see another screw mount just so it feels more secure to the wall.

I purchased an EKM Omnimeter v.3, DIN rail enclosure, the iSerial converter and two 400A split core CTs to monitor the power consumption on the load side of the SE-rated transfer switch on my home's 240V 400A electrical service (across two 200Amp panelboards). I went all in on the EKM ecosystem for this setup and I'm so glad I did because the components look and function great and the EKM Metering app - with its notification capabilities and fully customizable report creation - are getting the job done right for me! Bought these for a metering project in a manufacturing facility. Has installed another meter and Push3 prior. and wanted to expand the system without having to run network cable. Installed the two new meters with 485bees and added a 485 bee to the existing Push3. Everything worked flawlessly. Added the meters on the software and began monitoring. Software is super easy to navigate and set up reports and emails. Had some questions about using the pulse count for gas monitoring with the same meter. Support was amazing and quick response to questions.
The meter immediately displays kWh as soon as power is applied. That tells us that voltage sensing is working correctly, but nothing more. This meter does not cycle through the other parameters, such as current, watts, or power factor. Fortunately, the meter takes a lot less room on a DIN rail, so we will keep ordering more of this type of meter.
The mini current transformer easily fits in a crowed load center. The extra step of disconnecting a wire to run it through a solid core transformer eliminated worry that it might fall off.

This product is a game changer - and it doesn't exist anywhere else on the internet unless you make it yourself. I use it to let my marantz 7706 processor trigger this product to turn on three usb fans to cool my enclosed cabinet. Brilliant. Also there are so many applications for the "off when triggered" outlet - like turning off lighting or noise inducing devices. Well with the price of this product!!
