This meter is truly a worldwide universal meter and can be used to meter a wide variety of electrical systems. It meters systems from 120V single-phase 2-wire, to 480V 3-phase 4-wire, both 60Hz and 50Hz. There is not an electrical system, up to 480 volts, in common use that this meter will not support. Accurate to 0.5% (Class 0.5). We now stock CTs for up to 5000A.
This meter has been accuracy tested and certified for by the State of California Department of Weights and Measures. It is California Type Approved and meets California standards for revenue grade metering. Many other states accept California Type Approval for their metering requirements.
Note: this meter requires Current Transformers. The CT ratio can be set internally in the meter to work with up to 5000 amp CTs (no multiplier needed).

Our Omnimeters are also fully supported by our free, remote reading, EKM Dash software. If you want to read your Omnimeter on a computer locally, without the EKM Push system, then this software is what you would use. You will also need an EKM Blink USB Converter in order to do so.

- Easy to install, great remote metering solution for renters.
I've just installed my first meter in a rental unit. I'm extremely happy with how it has functioned so far. It gives me everything I need to bill my tenant and to allow them to monitor their own usage on a daily basis. The EKM Push product also has an excellent interface with the new encompass.io beta. Great price, super interface, easy to install. My only con was not selecting the right core size for my electrical line initially, and when I did, I had to skin the line for the core to fit. Since I have an upstream shutoff for the line it was no problem. The split core makes shutting the electricity off less crucial but size is very important. Make sure to measure your line size first before ordering as your sheathing may be larger or smaller than the expected wire diameter. Keep up the great work!

- Excellent meter for lab use
I now have installed about 15 of these meters for UL and CSA electrical testing in labs in 120V, 240V and 460 volt circuits . I have written vb.net and labview code for data collection and designed a pic lcd interface to view the data directly off the meter. Calibration is right on the money and have had no out of tolerance meters so far. To increase the accuracy below 5 amps I would suggest using 10 turns through the coil and doing the math accordingly.

- Fit the need perfectly
The Omni I v.3 fits the need perfectly. I'm using three (3) of them to submeter the output of three (3) small (5kW) wind turbines. The turbines connect to one utility metering point. Not only can I obtain the total turbine to utility grid output, but I can also monitor each turbine's output. The turbines are in close proximity to each other. If one has a lower output, this may be an indication of need for maintenance before the self-diagnosis of the turbine controller indicates maintenance. Very easy to connect to the turbine controllers. Customer extremely pleased with performance. The utility's digital smart meter was not properly programmed initially. After installing the Omni I v.3 and comparing the readings, the utility re-programmed their meter and all is well.

- Compact, simple to install
I just installed my first EKM-OmniMeter I v.3. I expect to install 1, possibly 2 more in the coming months. I used the standard shipping and received the unit in 2 days I think, not more than 3 for sure. It was well packaged and arrived safely.
Having had experience in the past with "multi function" gadgets I was concerned that installation would be bewildering. What I found was very clear and concise, step by step instructions which made it easy to install. (It worked right the first time I turned on the power).
The compact size allowed me to install it inside of my main breaker panel. I used a nibbler to make a window in the breaker cover so that only the display is visible whenever I open the panel door. Very nice!
Wish list: I didn't know I needed the 1 amp fuse holders - it would have been nice have this item listed as a necessary accessory. It would also be nice if there were a way to select which information is displayed. It's very cool to see the power factor (whatever that is) and other information but all I really care about is the KWH. I'd like to be able to open the cover, look at the reading and be on my merry way.
Regardless of the foregoing, I think this is a very good product. The bottom line is that it's going to add money to my bottom line.

- A great product
This meter, used with EKM's CTs, iSerial, and Reader software has allowed me to sub meter my rental units and bill my tenants based on their usage. I have also begun to see my energy bills decrease now that my tenants are paying for their own power. Overall, Im very happy with it.
