Split-core CT, 200A, 200A:26.6mA, 13mm Hole Diameter, up to 1.0 AWG insulated wire size SCT-013-200

CT Type: Split-Core

Max. Amperage: 200 amps

Inside Diameter: 13 mm or 0.51 inches

Outside Diameter: 44 mm or 1.73 inches

Thickness: 20 mm or 0.79 inches

Model: SCT-013-200

Certifications: UL and cUL Listed

Wire Gauge: For use on wire that is 2 AWG or smaller. It is best to measure your wire diameter in millimeters, rather than use the AWG gauge. This is because the insulation thickness varies materially from one wire manufacturer to the next. It is much better to oversize your CT than to undersize it.

These 13mm Split Core CTs are easy to install: simply snap these current transformers around the wires being read. They are very compact and can measure the current used in the majority of residential electrical systems. These CTs are designed to be used in conjunction with our Omnimeter line of electric meters for any load from 1/4 amp to 200 amps.

These CTs are so easy to install you may see an overall savings in reduced labor costs to offset the increased price of the split core format.

These are very compact and economical for their level of accuracy(0.1% which just a few watts). They have 7518 internal turns, creating a 26.6 mA output at max. amperage.

  • Use 1 CT for 120 volt single phase North American, or 230 volt 2-wire foreign systems
  • Use 2 CTs for 120/240 volt single phase systems
  • Use 2 CTs for 3-phase 3-wire systems (no neutral)
  • Use 3 CTs for 3-phase 4-wire systems

These CTs have received UL Approval for use with our UL listed meters to be a complete UL Listed install.

Each has a unique serial number, is individually tested, and indicates the correct orientation of the CT in relation to the load of the electrical system being metered.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Are the CTs UL or cUL approved?

Here are our Solid Core CT models that are UL approved for use with our meters: BCT-007-100, BCT-013-200, BCT-015-200, BCT-025-200, BCT-025-400
Here are our Split Core CT models that are UL approved for use with our meters:  SCT-013-200, SCT-025-200, SCT-023-400
The product page for each CT will tell if it is UL approved or not.  The SCT-013-200 CT that you are asking about is UL approved.

  • Can you offer split-core CT with 50A or 100A rated for 240V 50Hz single phase system?

We do not offer a split core 50A or 100A Current Transformer.  Our smallest split core CT, the SCT-013-200 would work very well on either of these systems.  This CT can be used on systems from less than 1 amp to 200 amps with wires up to 13 mm in diameter.  Here is a link to the SCT-013-200:  https://www.ekmmetering.com/split-core-ct-200a-200a-26-6ma-13mm-0-51-hole-diameter-sct-013-200.html

  • Is this item (and similar for smaller wire size) compatible with the 251DS Pass through meter?

No, the EKM-25IDS does not use external current transformers. It has two current transformers insides the meter itself and the wires that pass trough the body of the meter pass through those CTs. This CT model, and all other models that we offer are, only intended for use with our Omnimeter line of kWh meters.
